The systems use Dynamic Process Monitor (DPM) instrumentation which is compact, portable, non-destructive and non-intrusive.

How does it work?

  Pulses of low power ultrasound (less than 0.1 Watt = non-destructive) can be propagated through the polymer melt
  Sound velocity, attenuation, reflection coefficient and scattered signals are measured in real time and dependent on molecular, chemical and physical properties of the material
  Any change in the material properties and process parameters may be linked with the variations of the ultrasonic properties
